The table top has a leather lined writing surface with cross banding, rounded corners and reeded edge above a frieze decorated with ebony bandings. The table has two drawers to each side retaining their original bramah locks.

The table stands on four turned and tapering legs which have reeded ebony collars and rings and terminate in original brass castors.
