Woster Furniture

COXED & WOSTER

John Coxed & Thomas Woster were one of the earliest recorded makers. Based at The White Swan, St Paul's Churchyard from 1700-1736, their principal production was case furniture, such as bureaux and bookcases. Pieces were typically veneered in Mulberry or Maplewood and stained to resemble Tortoiseshell, often with a pewter line inlay.
