The upper section having two short drawers and three long drawers, the lower section with three short drawers, a shaped frieze and four cabriole legs terminating in pad feet.

The chest, which is veneered with highly figured and book-matched walnut veneers that have changed to an outstanding colour and patination, retains its original brass handles and escutcheons.
