The cross-banded serpentine top above a central drawer flanked by a cupboard on one side and a deep drawer on the other. Below the central drawer is an arch with inlaid spandrels. The sideboard standing on six square tapering legs.

Thuya Wood is obtained from the Sandarac tree of the Atlas mountains of Morocco & Algeria. This is the famous Thyine tree, yielding an incense used by priests in ancient times, when the wood was more greatly valued than gold.
