This important pair of cabinets are of fine quality and colour and are designed with Neo-Classical motifs. The lower section with a pair of golden coloured paneled doors enclosing cupboards with shelves.

Attribution
The carefully selected veneers, refined construction and quality of carving are all indicative of a top london cabinet maker. The use of diagonal veneers by Chippendale is well documented but not sufficient to justify an attribution. Similarly the design of the frieze may be seen on a manuscript design for an armchair showing alternative treatments inscribed in William Constable's hand 'Chippendale', probably by Thomas Chippendale the Younger c.1778 for Burton Constable.
