A Rare Queen Anne Gesso Mirror

The rectangular bevelled plate having a shaped top, finely carved with birds heads, pelmet and tassells decoration and scrolls all unified by foliate carving. The sides and base with similar carving and the whole being unusual for the depth of the carving and the frame. The base of the mirror having two candle arms (replaced).
