A George III Mahogany Card Table in the Manner of Ince & Mayhew
The well figured and serpentine shaped top having re-entrant corners, an egg and dart carved edge and opening to reveal a baize lined interior. The top supported by a similarly shaped frieze, with finely carved foliage and 'C' scrolls to the front and enclosing a concertina action. Standing on four cabriole legs terminating in scrolling foliate and shell carved feet. The legs having 'C' scrolls, which are headed by carved flowers on each side, an asymmetrical cartouche with boldly carved foliage rising above and bell flowers below. The table being a wonderful colour and having excellent patination.
