A Jewel in the Crown of Queen Anne Furniture
A Highly Important and Extremely Rare Queen Anne Period Walnut Bureau Bookcase
The upper section having an arched top above a single mirrored door opening to reveal a combination of drawers, pigeon holes and a cupboard. The middle having a well fitted bureau part above a single serpentine fronted drawer. The bookcase having a candle slide to either side of the serpentine drawer. The lower section having a pull-out fold-over writing flap above three long drawers and supported on shaped brackets and bun feet. The bookcase being of an outstanding colour, patination and original throughout (with the exception of the bun feet).
