The following images, taken from our archives, illustrate a small selection of pieces we have handled over the past 60 years and which have given us special pleasure and enjoyment. Either for the pieces themselves, their origins or the collections in which they have been placed. A Most Exceptional George III Mahogany Serpentine Fronted Chest on Chest
Height: 34 ¾" 88cm The tallboy has a carved swan-neck pediment with dentil moulding and carved rosettes above further egg and dart and dentil mouldings and carved swags of bell flowers in the frieze. The upper section has two short and three long drawers with swan-neck handles and a carved beeded edge to each drawer. The lower section has four long drawers similarly carved and with the same handles and escutcheons as above. Down the centre of each drawer is an inlaid chequer line. The drawers are flanked to either side by canted corners which have been lavishly carved.
