Memorable Pieces | |
The following images, taken from our archives, illustrate a small selection of pieces we have handled over the past 60 years and which have given us special pleasure and enjoyment. Either for the pieces themselves, their origins or the collections in which they have been placed. An Important Pair of Regency Period Rosewood Side Cabinets
Height: 37" 94cm Each cabinet has its original specimen marble top above two glazed doors. Each door banded with 'greek-key' pattern border, which is also seen on the sides of each cabinet as well as a gilt metal moulding. To either side of the doors are Egyptian inspired 'Isis' herms with a gilt-wood head and feet. The cabinets stand on a Greek alter inspired plinth with the gilt-metal moulding repeated.
