A Georgian Carved Mahogany 'Piecrust' Table
A George III Carved Mahogany 'Piecrust' Table
The top, with a well drawn piecrust edge, is a good colour and well patinated. It is supported on a fluted and stop-fluted tapering column which in turn rests on a spirally reeded vase above three downswept cabriole legs. Each leg terminates with a ball and claw foot and is superbly and deeply carved with a shell, bell flowers and unusual 'c' scrolls.
