The Derby China Factory was started in 1755 by William Duesbury I, who later purchased Chelsea and Bow. William Duesbury II took over from his father, followed by the partnership of Duesbury & Keane and after 1811 by Robert Bloor until it closed in 1848. It was during the early part of this period that these bough pots were made.
