An Unusual Regency Period Mahogany Jewellery Casket in the Form of a Miniature Chest
Having four graduated drawers, each with its original bone handles, chequer stringing and bone escutcheons, below a domed lid that is similarly inlaid on the top and inlaid with ebony stringing on a satinwood ground to the front.

The lid is hinged at the back and opens to reveal a baize lined tray which is in fact the top drawer. When the tray is lifted out a metal rod may be removed allowing the three further drawers to be pulled out.

The chest retaining its original turned peg feet and being of the most outstanding colour.
