The elegant Ionic-scrolled day beds, designed in the early l9th century French/antique or Grecian manner, are upholstered in Etruscan red velvet with 'squab' mattressed and rolled pillows.

The low serpentined backs, appropriate for their contemporary position as comfortable fireside furnishings, are exceptionally well drawn with tremendous movement which is further emphasised by the gilded flute and shape of the arms.
