The breakfront bookcase has a cornice with painted and engraved decoration above a cabinet section with gothic arched glazing bars. Below, the base has a simulated fluted banding interspersed with inlaid patarae above four drawers and four cupboards each veneered in satinwood with burr yew wood panels and rosewood cross-banding.

In the breakfront centre section the two drawers are in fact one, which opens to reveal a secretaire complete with pigeon holes and small drawers veneered with burr yew wood and satinwood cross-banding. The cupboards open to reveal wooden sliding trays.
